THE AZERA JOURNEY


To promote the launch of the new Hyundai Azera, we created “The Azera Journey,” an experience site designed to educate and enlighten consumers about specific aspects of the sedan that exemplify Hyundai’s commitment to pushing the envelope of design and engineering.


Set on an HTML5 narrative scrolling experience, users follow the Azera as it travels through a stylized CG Illustration environment accompanied by original jazz pieces. The journey is comprised of five different environments, each corresponding to the story behind a different feature of the car (design, engine, cabin noise, braking and safety). In each environment, hot spots appear that users can click on to view a video of the behind the scenes story from the engineer or designer, get spec info or learn more through fun facts, questions and interactive activities.



Users begin the journey by scrolling which takes the Azera to the design portion of the experience.

Hyundai wanted to make prospective customers aware of the changes they’ve enacted internally that have resulted in improvements in the company, the product and the community. They asked us to create online video documentary shorts to tell these stories from a behind-the-scenes perspective, which can be viewed on their website.

Super Bowl

For Super Bowl LI, Hyundai wanted to do something different from efforts in years past. This time we gave thanks to those who made the game, and all the freedoms we enjoy, possible, the men and women of the armed forces. But we wanted to do it in a way that had never been done before. The result was a 90 second spot directed by Peter Berg that was filmed overseas, edited during the game and ran in the first slot after its thrilling ending.

Few things are so universally disliked as taking a test drive. No one wants to spend a free afternoon at a car dealership, and then there's the high pressure sales tactics, it's just an experience that no one looks forward to. We went to Hyundai with an idea that would change all that. In today's digital age you can have just about anything delivered, so why not a test drive? With our Hyundai Drive app you can do just that. Just set up a time and a place and Hyundai brings the model you're interested in to you. There's also a communication aspect of the app that allows you to control conversation with sales people, so you can discuss what you want when you want. You can even ask friends and family to help you choose.
